Rihanna attacked by Chris Brown 2009 recap
In February 2009 Chris Brown and Rihanna got into a fight that ended with Rihanna in the hospital and Chris Brown facing police charges. According to industry sources, “Rihanna and Chris were driving when he received a text from another girl. The text was read by Rihanna who saw it to be a booty call. She got out of the car to leave and Chris was furious about her getting back and he went to grab her.”

It was Sunday morning that the fight would come to a head. Rihanna and Chris Brown escallated the fight to a physical level. Rihanna was taken to the hospital with a split lip and 
bruises. She also reported having bite marks on her body.
Brown, 19, has kept a low profile since he was booked on a felony criminal threats charge and released on $50,000 bail. His attorney Mark Geragos did not return calls seeking comment to reporters.
In June 2009, after lengthy investigations, Chris Brown got of by pleading one count felonycount of assault on his exgirlfriend. It appeared some terms had been agreed to by Rihanna and Chris Brown as she was not that upset about the ruling.
Singer Kanye West, who toured with Rihanna last year, said he was “devastated” by word of the alleged abuse.
“All I will say is, it’s so devastating. I feel like, just as a person, I don’t care how famous she is, or even if she worked at McDonald’s, that should have never happened,” West told Ryan Seacrest during a radio interview. “It should never come to that place.”
Currently Rihanna is dating Matt Kemp of the L.A. Dodgers.
