Hayden Panettiere – Tattoo Misspell Fail
Ahh to be young and to stand up to your regrets and tell them you don’t regret anything … or so I can only imagine that was the intention of actress Hayden Panettiere when she got her tattoo this past year. Now when I read reports that one of the words tattooed up the side of her body was misspelled I had to do my own research.
It was first necessary to research and make sure she that the area where this tattoo exists has no funny birthmarks that may have contributed to the idea that their is a mispelling. So I refer you to the collage below as evidence that there appears to be no birthmarks anywhere on Hayden.
However it is possible that since this is a collage it could be doctored. The image below seems like a clean image displaying the area where the supposed misspelled tattoo exists which I think clearly shows that whatever is there now would not be affected by any preexisting birthmarks.
Once able to determine that the area in question had no evidence of anything that could be misinterpreted as a birthmark or natural distortion of the new tattoo it was time to review images of the tattoo.
Here is a close up of the picture of her tattoo which is clearly a tattoo.
The words on the tattoo are ”Vivere senza rimipianti,” which is meant to be “to live without regrets” in Italian. However, I looked up the correct spelling using freetranslation.com and ”rimipianti” in her tattoo is supposed to be spelled “rimpianti” making this a huge fail for the amount of times she has pictures taken showing off the tattoo. Ouch.

Freetranslation.com isn’t always correct. Its a free site, and I have used it many times. However, sometimes they do a choppy job of translating. I confirmed this with an Italian friend of mine, writing him a paragraph using the Italian translator from Freetranslation.com. He told me he could only understand about half of the paragraph. Anyway, in this case the word IS actually misspelled.

Absolutely correct. FreeTranslation.com is good but I don’t think there is any 100% accurate translation software out there. So I used that first, then Googled the word, then checked an English/Italian dictionary and they happen to be correct this time. I was actually hoping to find out that the tabloids were wrong to have an even better article.
